Dumped Rabbits of Utah

MAR Animal Rescue, run by 15-year old Isabella, has been working hard to rescue the dumped rabbits of Utah.

The legal protections for bunnies in the state of Utah are lacking. They are a state of agriculture, and classify bunnies into the livestock category, so there is nothing law enforcement or local city shelters can do to help.

There are four known dumpsites that she is currently working on around Utah (West Jordan, Magna, Herber City, & Saratoga Spring).

At this particular site, the bunnies were living in filth and garbage after their “owners” moved and left them behind.

MAR Animal Rescue managed to clear the site, giving these sweet rabbits a second chance at life.

Sadly, there are hundreds of rabbits running rampant and she does not have enough money or man-power to rescue them all. Many of the rabbits she rescues come with injuries and health issues, significantly adding to the cost of their rescue.

Every rabbit rescued costs upwards of $400-500. This includes their veterinary care, housing, food, and supplies. Donate here to help MAR Animal Rescue save the dumpsite rabbits.
