Per KY’s USDA APHIS/VS veterinarian: “ Detection of RHDV2 in two rabbits in Jefferson County Kentucky was confirmed by the USDA APHIS VS Foreign Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory on Friday, December 17, 2021." The veterinarian who reported the case said: "This owner lost 2 rabbits in the same day in less than 24 hours of intensive care. They also lost another rabbit at home about 5 days prior to these. Details of where they could have contacted the virus have not been finalized."
