According to USDA/APHIS Veterinary Services representative, this case started 11/23/2021 when a single indoor pet domestic rabbit presented at a veterinary clinic with inappetence, seizures & rapid death. Tissue samples were tested & confirmed positive for RHDV2 on 11/29/21. Epidemiological investigation did NOT find the likely cause of infection.
