1st confirmed RHDV2 case in the United States detected 9/19/2018 in 4 of 5 rabbits running free among horse stalls on a farm. One rabbit survived & was quarantined. A Jan 16, 2019 Ohio Dpt of Agriculture update said no rabits remained on the farm and ODA was confident the virus has been isolated & contained with no spread to wild rabbits in the area.
